Intermediate Wheel Throwing with Greg Crowe
Build upon your fundamental wheel throwing skills in this eight week course with renowned ceramicist Greg Crowe. Learn to work with larger amounts of clay, creating more challenging forms as well as techniques for producing sets of ceramic vessels. This class is for students who have previously attended wheel throwing classes and are comfortable with wedging, centering clay and throwing small vessels. There are only eight spots in this workshop, be sure to book early to secure your place.
Greg has been an artist and educator for over 40 years, specialising in wheel throwing, salt glazing and wood firing stoneware. His exciting career has seen him exhibit and facilitate workshops all over the world, namely in the US, Canada, Japan, Singapore and Europe. We’re excited to welcome Greg back home to the Perth Hills.
This course includes a bisque and glaze firing with work ready for collection 2-3 weeks after final class. Bring along your own apron, towel and tools (basic tools available from the MJAC studio). 1 bag of clay will be provided per student, BYO additional stoneware clay or purchase a bag from the ceramics technician. Please wear closed in shoes. One left-handed wheel available.
