ABOUT THE ARTIST
Kasia Kolikow is a Polish-Australian artist from Perth, Western Australia. With a background in fashion and textile design, she works predominantly in textiles, exploring ideas of belonging and identity in relation to place and space. Kolikow employs slow-making to think through materials and processes creating work slowly and deliberately over an extended period of time. Kolikow received the 2023 PAWA Student Prize for excellence in printmaking, and her work was selected as part of the Hatched National Graduate Exhibition 2024 at PICA. Kolikow’s work has been exhibited locally and nationally, and is held in the North Metropolitan TAFE Collection, as well as in private collections in Western Australia.
