ABOUT THE ARTIST

Maryann Dawson is a multidisciplinary artist who began drawing at age nine and is now interested in textiles, painting, and ceramics. 

Born in England and now calling the Perth Hills home, Dawson has a Diploma in Graphic Design and has studied both Textiles and Fine Arts. Dawson is drawn to experimentation; she wants everything she creates to be something that steps into a new territory and embraces joyous moments of fun. Dawson wants people to find a sense of interest, to see her process and wonder why and how, and to notice that nothing is ever the same.
