ABOUT THE ARTIST 

Colin Knight is a Gidgegannup-based artist who explores the ancient craft of Maille patterning to create intricate sterling silver and gold bracelets. His designs draw inspiration from historical styles, echoing the elegance of Byzantine, Persian, Turkish, and Japanese traditions. Each piece is meticulously handwoven, celebrating the precision and rhythm of traditional metalwork. Knight’s practice is rooted in a fascination with form and technique, blending historical influence with contemporary craftsmanship. In addition to his jewellery, he also creates finely turned wooden rolling pins and handcrafted chopping boards; functional pieces that reflect his dedication to quality, simplicity, and the beauty of natural materials.Knight’s work invites a tactile connection to history, craft, and the enduring appeal of handmade design.
