ABOUT THE ARTIST

Tanya Jaceglav is the creator behind Forrest Road Studios. She is a Fremantle/Walyalup-based artist whose practice brings together painting, porcelain, and a lifelong connection to nature. Working from her sunlit studio overlooking the garden, Jaceglav creates hand-painted ceramic pieces inspired by wildlife and the quiet rituals of daily life. Her journey with clay began during her Fine Arts studies where she was captivated by the elegance of slip-cast porcelain. Years later, Jaceglav returned to ceramics, drawn to the elemental process of shaping earth and fire. Each piece is crafted and painted by hand, making it a unique reflection of her surroundings and sensibilities. Jaceglav's work celebrates the beauty of imperfection, the changing seasons, and the tactile qualities of natural materials.
