ABOUT THE ARTIST 

Shelley Cowper was born in Auckland, New Zealand and arrived in Australia after several years of travelling through Asia, Africa, and Europe. She commenced a Bachelor of Visual Arts and finished her second year at Curtin University in Perth before relocating with her husband and three children to Scotland where she then lived for four years. She completed her degree with Honours at Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen in 2001. Returning to Perth, Australia in 2002, Shelley has been active in the Arts, particularly in the areas of printmaking and painting.
