These coasters are made by me using the dye sublimation process (heat to transfer). They have a gloss finish on timber backing.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Benn Francis is a mixed media artist born in Western Australia, growing up in Geraldton. Previously he was an electronic engineer and now he currently has a full time Art practice from his home studio in the Swan Valley. Benn draws inspiration from nature and the many places he has traveled with a small amount of geeky pop culture thrown in. His engineering background led him to develop the technical processes used in his work made mostly from paper and string. His use of colour and texture provide a place of comfort however as you look deeper you find that things aren’t always as they seem.
