ABSTRACT LANDSCAPES | RIC BURKITT

This workshop invites participants to explore abstract landscapes with award winning painter, Ric Burkitt. Held in Ric’s light-filled home studio, these three-hour workshops welcome painters of all skill levels to explore beyond the boundaries of traditional landscapes, loosen their painting style and connect with the dynamic scenery of the Perth Hills via the canvas. 

Using acrylic paint and a variety of tools and techniques, participants will add layers, scrape off paint and rework to walk away with a completed artwork after just one session.

Suitable for all skill levels from beginner to experienced painters. Very limited capacity.

Artist Bio

Ric is a full-time artist working in various styles and mediums from his studio in Stoneville. His current work includes mixed-media landscape and abstract paintings that capture the mood and feel of the countryside surrounding his home.

Ric has been teaching visual arts and graphic design for over twenty years. A regular facilitator at Tresillion Arts Centre and Mundaring Arts Centre Inc. he has built a joyous repour with students, welcoming them into a supportive and playful learning environment.
