COMMUNITY ART GARDEN | CREATE A FLOWER WITH YASAMIN KHADEMBASHI
Join 2024 MJAC Artist in Residence, Yasamin Khadembashi for a FREE flower making workshop and add your creation to our community garden installation. This activity takes around half an hour and is appropriate for all ages 5+.
This event invites you to explore your own cultural heritage and history, through creating your unique flower and contributing to the collective installation, you can discover a sense of identity, empowerment and community through shared experiences and the universal symbolism of the garden.

Artist Bio
Yasamin is an Iranian-Australia multidisciplinary artist and BCA student at Curtin University, her arts practice focuses on painting, tattooing, sculpture, textile, and installation. Yasamin will be an Artist in Residence with Fremantle Arts Centre, and hopes to graduate with Honors, in 2025. Influenced by her families' experiences immigrating to Australia, Yasamin draws upon cultural discourses.
