ECO ART – SCULPTURES OF CARDBOARD CLAY | NICOLE STEENHOF

Join exhibiting artist Nicole Steenhof to explore the possibilities of sculpture making using a revitalised papier mache technique. Nicole will introduce you to her methods and guide you along the process. 

The possibilities are yours to explore in this hands-on experimental workshop - a sculpture, decorative wall hanging, incense holder, an ode to shell forms, each participants creation will be uniquely theirs.

ARTIST BIO

Nicole Steenhof is an award-winning visual artist who has recently completed post grad studies in Fine Art from Curtin University. She is interested in the concept of hydro commons, exploring the idea of being a body of water among and within bodies of water. Particularly, she is interested in the Indian Ocean as a site of intersection of fragmented experiences and a multiplicity of histories and investigates this through a practice of oil painting and sculpture. At MAC, she hopes to share how values inform an arts practice through a workshop using post-consumer materials.
