PHOTO TRANSFER WITH ENCAUSTIC WORKSHOP | ANNETTE WIGUNA
Join exhibiting artist Annette Wiguna for an introductory lesson into alternative photography processes. Capture a snippet of your home or garden into small encaustic painting using photo transfer techniques and wax medium.
Using printed photos of your favourite room, corner, or view of your home or garden, learn how to make basic encaustic medium and the process of transferring these images onto small plywood boards. Add textures and inscriptions using the same medium and pottery tools. Participants will make 2-3 paintings in the session.
Suitable for all skill levels from beginner to experienced makers.

Born in Indonesia, Annette is a painter, photographer and textile artist whose practice embraces the use of locally gathered native plants, traditional spices and herbs to explore themes of home, cultural identity and the fragility of Western Australian flora amid rapid urban transformation.
