Join exhibiting artist Silvana Ferrario as she discusses her passion for glass, her process, and the themes which inspired A Sense of Place.
Ferrario has won notable awards such as the Gordon Award at Glass+, the Emerging Artist Award at MAGE, and has been a finalist in the Tom Malone and Mandorla exhibitions. Her artistic inspiration is drawn from a combination of childhood memories, her experiences as a subsea engineer and scuba diver, and the serene environment of the hills in which she lives.

Artist Bio
Silvana has worked in glass since 1997, initially with lead light, and progressing to fused glass in 2009. Creating and teaching from her studio in the Perth hills, Silvana supports local artists through her work with the annual Mundaring Hills Open Studios. The recipient of several notable awards, including the Gordon Award at Glass+, Emerging Artist Award MAGE, she is represented in collections throughout WA.
