ABOUT THE ARTIST 

A fourth-generation West Australian Silversmith, Bethamy Linton’s interest in jewellery and metal object design began as a child during hours spent in the Linton Family Workshops. The skillfully crafted jewellery and small objects she is known for grew from this solid grounding and aesthetic.

Living on the outskirts of Perth, the native flora surrounding her inspires thoughtful and intricate works that engage the senses and cry out to be held and worn. Some works feel like they grow out of the body, reminiscent of plants attaching themselves to a frame from which they can grow. Linton’s work has a strength of purpose, a quality of craftsmanship and an integrity of design that make it memorable.
