CAPTURING THE MOMENT - MOULD MAKING & CASTING | EMMA CRAIG

This hands-on workshop introduces participants to object and relief plaster casting. Learn how to create simple one-part moulds using everyday objects and explore techniques for capturing surface detail and form. Participants will experiment with casting in plaster to produce sculptural impressions that highlight texture, memory, and material transformation.

Materials provided. Bring a variety of small objects of various materials to explore texture and sculptural forms. BYO Apron - Enclosed shoes necessary, long hair tied back.

Artist Bio

Emma Craig is a multidisciplinary artist based in Perth, working across ceramics, printmaking, and painting. Her practice explores repetition, touch, and materiality through process-led making, with a current focus on casting familiar objects in plaster and clay.
