CARICATURE CARVING | GARRY ILES
Join woodcarver Garry Iles, for a hands-on, three-session workshop. In this workshop you will you'll learn to shape wood into small, simple caricatures. Over the course of three 3-hour sessions, you'll begin by mastering basic knife techniques and gradually explore more advanced carving methods. This workshop is suitable for individuals of all skill levels, offering a supportive environment where creativity can flourish. As you progress, you'll build confidence and gain the skills needed to tackle more complex carving projects.

Garry Iles is a self-taught knife carver and whittler with over 25 years of experience in woodcarving. Specializing in miniature caricature figures and animals, he brings personality and charm to every piece he creates.
Originally from the UK, Garry has found his home in Western Australia, where he continues to share his passion for whittling. Dedicated to teaching, he has helped complete beginners gain the confidence and skills to master this timeless craft.
Known for his quirky, friendly nature and inspiring approach, Garry is a true ambassador of the art of woodcarving.
