Join fibre artist Cath Inman for a 3-hour workshop exploring the art of sustainable basketry. Using natural palm sheaths, you’ll learn how to stitch and shape them into functional vessels that can be wall-hung or worn as foraging pouches. Cath will guide you through techniques for adorning your piece and creating cordage or string for hanging. Participants will be introduced to sustainable, waste-free, and zero-cost ways of creating art, inspiring you to nurture creativity without impacting the environment.  Suitable for beginners and nature lovers, this hands-on session is the perfect opportunity to create beautiful, functional art while deepening your understanding of sustainable practices.

Cath Inman is a fibre artist who creates sustainable sculptural and functional art through basket weaving, using locally foraged and natural plant materials. With over 25 years of horticultural experience and a lifelong love of nature, Cath combines her deep understanding of plants with traditional basketry techniques to craft unique pieces that celebrate the natural world.
