ABOUT THE ARTIST
Victoria Martínez Zurbano born in Corrientes, Argentina, is a ceramic artist whose work bridges traditional South American techniques and contemporary form. Rooted in ancestral knowledge and slow craft, her practice draws from pre-Hispanic hand-building traditions, using clay, gesture, and fire as tools for exploring identity, memory, and transformation. She has exhibited in Argentina and Australia, led community workshops, and received the 2024 Acquisition Prize from UNNE. Now based in Corrientes, she teaches from her studio, where clay becomes a language of sensitivity, symbolic expression and connection across time.
