ABOUT THE ARTIST

Ren has a long history with jewellery making in various mediums, working exclusively with silver for the past seven years. After a life changing event, she decided to take some time out to learn something new. So, she enrolled at TAFE in a silversmithing course, where she continues to study new and varied techniques to enhance her jewellery making and design skills. Ren has always had a love of creating. First studying fashion design after leaving school, then working in the manufacturing industry for a time, she turned her hand to other artistic adventures like pottery, oil painting, anything creative, then along came silver. Ren's jewellery is inspired by the shapes and textures of the natural world around her, and she looks to different and ancient cultures for her inspiration.
