ABOUT THE ARTIST
Sandra Black is a ceramic artist who has been influential for her imaginative work in porcelain and bone china, especially her innovative techniques in piercing clay.
Black has been working with porcelain since the mid-1970s, has exhibited around the world, and has taught in a range of contexts and places. Early on in her career she was attracted to the texture, whiteness, and translucency of porcelain.
