THE ART OF KURINUKI | DEANNE JECKS
Learn the traditional Japanese hand-building technique of Kurinuki in this two-part workshop with ceramicist Deanne Jecks. Kurinuki is a unique subtractive method involving carving, hollowing, and shaping solid clay to create beautiful, organic vessels. In sessions one and two, participants will create small vessels while experimenting with this technique. There is an option to take pieces home after the second session for further refinement. Your handmade creations will be fired and glazed within six weeks, and we’ll notify you by email when they’re ready for collection.
