On Thursday evenings MJAC invites both experienced and beginner artists to join a group of painting enthusiasts.
Arts educator and oil painter Janine Lee will be on hand to provide guidance or to help get you started in your chosen medium. Whether you are a beginner or looking to refine your skills, these sessions provide the perfect opportunity to unlock your potential while in a friendly supportive group setting. Bring your own source material or take advantage of our weekly still life arrangement.

Materials:
Participants are to bring their preferred materials e.g. canvas, paper, paints, brushes and mediums. Easels, support boards, odourless solvent and some painting mediums provided.
Beginners are welcome to attend their first session prior to purchasing materials and equipment. This session will include basic materials and a tutorial to get started on their painting journey.
Artist Bio:
Janine Lee is a former Secondary School Visual Arts Teacher and practicing artist. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in Fine Arts and Visual Culture and a Graduate Diploma of Education both from Curtin University. Janine recently joined MAC Inc. as the Education Program Coordinator and is currently pursuing her own art practice, focussing on portrait painting in oils. Her extensive teaching experience and love of painting bring a wealth of experience to the Thursday Painting Group.
