WRITING IN WIRE
To compliment Land ((Word)) Journey, on show at Midland Junction Arts Centre, exhibiting artist Tineke Van der Eecken invites participants to explore the beauty of language to create their own handwritten object.
Join multidisciplinary artist Tineke Van der Eecken to transform a bespoke personal message into a copper wire artform. This workshop begins with a guided writing session to develop a personal quote or line of poetry. You will then learn handwriting and copper wire jewellery techniques to translate your handwritten words into meaningful objects that can be either worn or put on display in your home.

Artist Bio
Tineke Van der Eecken is a mid-career Belgian-born Australian multidisciplinary artist working across a variety of mediums including fine metals jewellery and sculpture, biological art, photography, autobiographical fiction and poetry. She calls Walyalup (Fremantle, WA) home though she considers herself a migrant.
