FLORA EXPRESSIONS ON CANVAS AM | TERM 4 | LOUISE HAMILL

Join this 3-hour acrylic painting workshop facilitated by WA painter Louise Hamill. Participants will create unique flora paintings inspired by Australian plants, like Banksia flowers and cones, painting directly from nature. They’ll draw on black gessoed canvas with chalk pencil and paint in layers using provided acrylics. Louise offers technical guidance, focusing on each participant’s creative expression. All skill levels welcome and all materials are supplied.

Artist Bio

Guildford based painter, Louise Hamill is self-taught, creating spiritually charged artworks inspired by nature and meditation. Her work has been exhibited in Australia and Japan, including Taku Sometani Gallery and Mundaring Art Centre. She has completed residencies at Cool Change Contemporary and the Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts. Since early 2024, she has led painting workshops emphasizing creativity and mindfulness.
