ARTIST TALK & POETRY READING | LAND ((WORD)) JOURNEY
Land ((Word)) Journey, on show at Midland Junction Arts Centre, features the works of five artists and poets exploring identity and their connections to language and place. Using a diverse range of media, they reflect on their varied and unique perspectives as Australians. One a member of the stolen generation, another the descendant of settler colonialists and the others expressing their experience as migrants.
Join artists and poets Tineke Van der Eecken, Natalie Damjanovich-Napoleon, Carol Igglesden and Lakshmi Kanchi as they discuss their work. The event will be in two parts: a one-hour talk and tour of the exhibition, followed by poetry readings from the artists, with shared Indian food and drink.
